Fun shoots are shoots that are not AST/AA/WA recognised events.
These include Fun Longbow shoots, Twilight Shoots and all Come N Try sessions.
Club shoots are held on the range most Saturday afternoons, with a
combined long distance and short distance format.
These are ideal for the beginner archer to gain confidence and progress
to shooting tournament distances.
Friday night indoor club shoots are also available for the more experienced archer,
as these are shot at 18m on small 40cm target faces.
Occasionally a club Field round or Clout round will also be added to the calendar
as member interest dictates.
Bronze medals are available to claim for club shoot Perfect (all 10s) and All Gold
(10s and 9s) ends of six arrows at the various distances shot.
The Short Distance format allows beginners to build strength, knowledge and
skills while not being intimidated by having to shoot longer distances.
The Longer Distance format allows experienced archers to refine their skills for
World Archery registered Tournaments.
Rounds vary for different days and are 72, 90 or 144 arrows. Reduced arrow rounds
can be accommodated for beginners.
